motor to go fast
These are on a stock spec motor (~140whp).Just some ideas for you to start with.
Option 1 – Beastly Street Setup:
Turbo Kit (t3/t04e turbo minimum)
Boost Components (Injectors, boost controller)
3" Exhaust (including 3" cat)
Tuning Device (Hondata/eCtune/Neptune)
Dyno Tuning (about 2-3hrs)
Clutch (optional but recommended for boost)
Stage 1 cams (Skunk2/Blox/OEM ITR optional)
Results: ~360whp (mild tune w/ cams, pushing limits)
~350whp (extreme tune pushing limits)
~300whp (mild tune)
~280whp (conservative tune)
~275whp (smaller exhaust and mild tune)
~240whp (no tune and motor risk)
Option 2 – Simple and mild Bolt-ons:
Intake (Short ram/Ice box style would be best)
Header (Tri-Y style or larger 4-1 type)
2.5" Exhaust (including 2.5" cat)
Tuning Device (Apexi VAFC/Hondata/Crome)
Dyno Tuning (about an hour)
Intake Manifold (Skunk2/Blox optional)
Stage 1 Cams (Skunk2/Blox/OEM ITR optional)
ITR/CTR Tranny (optional but would help with accel)
Results: ~190whp (with cams and manifold)
~170whp (without cams)
~160whp (without cams and manifold)
~155whp (smaller exhaust system)
~150whp (no tune)
buy a turbo-charger
or programmer chip
or new headers and exhast tip(exhast system)
or get new seals and piston so you can use higher octane fuel
You can do all of them together.
Intake, full exhaust, underdrive pulley, weight reduction
cold air intake, port heads, add a header, under drive pulleys, camshaft, ect….
gsr is quick..bolt ons and ecu can help you tune it
